Founded over 30 years ago by Fabio Lione, renowned frontman of ANGRA and formerly of RHAPSODY OF FIRE, ATHENA XIX is ready to unleash a fascinating conflict of mind and spirit. Everflow Part 1: Frames of Humanity marks the first chapter of a concept album that seamlessly fuses innovation with tradition, showcasing the experience and passion of a band that has always carved its own path in the power/prog metal genre. “I think this record will surprise a lot of people,” notes vocalist Fabio Lione. “Even today, ‘A New Religion?’ is considered by many to be the best Italian prog metal album, and ‘Everflow…’ marks a massive evolution of our sound. We worked hard on it, also to give each song a particular cut that aligns with the articulated story of the concept,” Lione continues. “This method allowed us to characterize each track and make it special, crowning many years of individual growth and, above all, collective work. “Everflow Part 1: Frames of Humanity” combines the prog/thrash intensity of recent SYMPHONY X, the romantic undertones of EVERGREY, and the epic grandeur of KAMELOT, while also incorporating extreme, experimental, and electronic elements that make ATHENA XIX’s sound truly one-of-a-kind.
The concept draws inspiration from the sci-fi and dystopian themes of cinematic masterpieces like Strange Days, The Matrix, Transcendence, and Sunshine. It tells a story that intertwines ecological awareness, moral ethics, mass control, and unchecked technological advancement.

ATHENA XIX present the third single from their new album "Everflow Part 1: Frames Of Humanity," which will be released on October 25, 2024 via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM). 'I Wish' is a magnificent new hymn by the Italian cult progressive quintet, and features no less than vocalist Roy Khan (CONCEPTION, ex-KAMELOT) as counterpart to frontman Fabio Lione (ANGRA, ex-RHAPSODY OF FIRE, a.o.), creating a brilliant duet that many melodic/power/symphonic metal maniacs thought they would never hear.

"Finally me and Roy together on one song! I was really happy to know that he liked the song and wanted to be part of this new ATHENA XIX record, he was free to improvise and to record his parts the way he wanted to. I just sent him the song with my vocals and let him freely add and sing in the moments he preferred to and I have to say that the combination is amazing! Our two voices combine very well! I'm sure that fans will love it! It's a really nice and cool song, with a great chorus in my opinion, one of the best tracks on this record and a perfect choice thinking about Roy's voice and style," jubilates singer Fabio Lione.
