The Peruvian death metal band Disinter has just released the video clip for the song Ukupacha, which was recorded in the Quichas Alta section of Cerro de Pasco -more than 4,500 meters above sea level- which is considered a pre-Hispanic archaeological monument. by the Ministry of Culture.
The video, which can be viewed through the group's YouTube channel and social networks, has been made by the local producer Quiotó and combines images recorded outdoors in Cerro de Pasco with scenes of the band in Giovanni Lama's studio in Lime.
Ukupacha, which in Quechua means the lower Inca world, is part of the fourth studio album by the Lima group entitled Eternal War, which was released last November by Warogre Records (Peru) and Pest Records (Romania) and will be released in September. forthcoming by the Mexican label Diabolus Producciones.
Disinter is a benchmark of Peruvian death metal with 30 years of experience and his album Guerra Eterna is considered his most successful album, receiving good reviews from magazines and specialized fanzines from Peru and from various parts of the world.
Regarding the topics they address in their lyrics, the drummer and founder of the band, Roberto Leonardi, comments “since I was a child, Iron Maiden's songs like The Trooper caught my attention, which narrated epic war passages full of heroism in a proud and dramatic way. . With Disinter we do the same but with passages from our history”.
Leonardi explains that in their different albums they address topics such as the Battle of Tarapacá, the legend of the Pururaucas soldiers, as well as highlighting the courage of heroes of our country such as Francisco Bolognesi, Miguel Grau or Avelino Cáceres, the Witch of the Andes.
Disinter is preparing a tour of Bolivia and a series of concerts in Lima and the provinces to continue promoting the album Guerra Eterna. The band is currently made up of: Leonardo Navarrete (vocals/bass), Roberto Leonardi (drums), Katiuzca Guerrero (guitar) and José Delión (guitar).
